Biosafety Cabinet Technical Services Specialist
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Biosafety Cabinet Technical ServicesSpecialist for our Engineering team.
You will work with ourBSCTest+ Team in the greater Boston area .
This service-orientedindividual will be responsible forperforming testing & certifications of biosafety cabinets within our clients’ lab spaces.
The ideal candidate will have the NSF certification or an interest in obtaining the certification.

This position reports to our Director of Engineering. This role is onsite at assigned client locations and is based in Somerville, MA.
Essential responsibilities :
- Working with clients and service managers to coordinate and schedule work.
- Assure gas decontamination and certification of biological safety cabinets and chemical fume hoods are performed per contract and industry standards.
- Preparing, reviewing, and / or transmitting project reports and certifications.
- Assuring the maintenance / certification of equipment for decontamination, certification, and sterilization are current.
- Periodically provide support for decommissioning, laboratory equipment decontamination, and calibration.
- Provide support for closure assessments associated with our client’s R&D facilities, labs, pharmacies, and clean rooms.
Requirements :
- 2+ years' work experience as an instrument / field technician, knowledgeable in monitoring equipment, lab equipment, field testing and / or equipment maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays.
- Flexibility with working hours, including possible off-hours and weekends.
- Successful completion of a physical examination and drug screening is required prior to employment.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in United States without sponsorship.
Preferred requirements :
- Experience with testing & certification of biological safety cabinet services.
- Knowledge of fume hood and cabinet testing standards and testing instrumentation.
- Experience with laboratory building systems, and / or laboratory infrastructure.
- OSHA 40-hour training.
