2 nd Shift Machine Operator
Pay : $19.00
Schedule : Monday Thursday 5 : 00PM to 3 : 30am
Operates automated packaging equipment and performs routine maintenance tasks required for those machines. Ensures adherence to work order and established product quality guidelines on packaging lines.
Maintains cleanliness and appearance of packaging lines
Machine Operator Job Duties :
- Reviews work order at start of every run. Ensures run adheres to record.
- Assists in changeover and clean downs regarding machinery on assigned packaging line.
- Obtains appropriate assistance in running of production line from Packaging Associates.
- Notifies supervision and obtains assistance when problems with machinery are more than routine or persistent.
- Responsible for maintaining workflow on line and maximizing total product produced. Notifies Supervision of packaging component requirements to avoid lag in production and / or shutdown of line.
- Checks all packaging components received onto line against the work order.
- In cooperation with supervision maintains workflow and assists Supervision in maintaining efficiency of workers. Notifies Supervision of tools required for completion of tasks.
- Sets and maintains proper fill level of processed containers.
- Responsible for checking levels at machine and having them approved by Quality Control.
- Capping of bottles as needed.Also obtains line personnel as needed to aid in capping.
- Maintains cleanliness of packaging equipment and ensures Company policy and procedure is followed regarding cleanup.
Machine Operator Background & Experience, expectations :
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Experience in the Packaging Department
- Predictable and reliable attendance required.
- Will attend all annual training as required.
- Follows safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds
