What we are looking for in a Behavioral Health Technician :

Time is seeking a high school graduate / GED level professional for the Behavioral Health Technician position. Behavioral Health Technician candidates must have at least twelve months experience working with people at any capacity and experience managing a client caseload.

Preferred experience working with adults with mental health and / or substance use issues. Canidates must be able to work effectively in a team setting and document all client interactions thoroughly.

Responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Technician :

  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
  • Follows Infection guidelines at all times.
  • Completes and forwards copy of Incident Reports and any other staff / risk issues immediately to director.
  • Attend all TIME Wellness staff meetings and attend all mandatory In-services.
  • Provide a safe therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
  • Provides supervision of self-administered medications.
  • Oversee implementation of daily / weekly structure for community housing clients as developed by director of housing, Maintain a positive working relationship with TIME staff and consumers alike.
  • Reports personal symptoms of suspected illness or contagious diseases to director.
  • Monitor and observe clients behavior with documentation and count and keep track of all clients with documentation.
  • End of shift reporting to director via email.
  • Answer calls on company phone while on shift.
  • Report any medical emergencies, elopements or ACA incidents to director immediately.
  • Transport clients to outside activities, 12 step support groups, appointments, to and from airports and other facilities, using company van.
  • Orientates new clients to the facility. Completing a complete housing intake packet and ensuring all documents are signed.
  • Search new admissions belongings to ensure no contraband is brought into facility, and all valuables and medications are secured.
  • Preparing residential apartments for new clients, ensuring cleanliness.
  • To request and report any supplies needed at facility and residential facility to director.
  • Ensure that all apartments are kept clean and cleaning when necessary.
  • Follow ethical guide lines in accordance with the state of Tennessee.
  • Keeping tech offices in a clean and neat order at all times.
  • Provide safety checks at apartments and reporting any risks to director.
  • Provide random searches at residential checking for contraband.
  • Monitor transitional living clients curfews and they are abiding to rules.
  • Trained and confident in taking blood pressure, hand washing and medication observation.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for a Behavioral Health Technician :

  • Preferred experience working with adults with mental health and / or substance use issues.
  • CPI and CPR / FA training highly desired
