Job Description

  • Oversee and manage aspects of Mohs micrographic surgery.
  • Set-up and assist with Mohs micrographic surgery.
  • Monitor and direct activities of medical assistants while also training and onboarding new staff in surgery to achieve optimal performance, efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Answer potential patient questions for both surgery prep and pre- and post-op under the direction of the provider.
  • Maintain Mohs schedule and make sure surgeries are scheduled appropriately.
  • Be the point of contact for referring physicians for Mohs micrographic surgery and coordinate appropriate appointments with plastic surgeon or other outside provider as necessary.
  • Schedule and tend to patients for suture removal and wound checks.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Be a team player and work as a team.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills required.
  • Must be able to juggle or multi-task.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be reliable.

Job Type :

  • Full-time : Must be able to work shifts between 7 : 45am 5 : 45pm
  • Pay range : $24-$28 / hr, depending on experience

Experience :

  • Minimum 1-year experience working in dermatology and / or surgery.
  • Mohs micrographic surgery experience is strongly preferred.

Education : High School Diploma Preferred
