Senior Contracts Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Specialist with a Secret (or higher) clearance to join a government contracting team in Virginia for a hybrid (1 day / week) work opportunity.

The Contracts Specialist will be supporting a CMO for Research and Development efforts.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation to execution and closeout.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and mitigate risks.
• Conduct thorough reviews of contract terms and conditions, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
• Interface with government agencies and other external partners to facilitate effective communication and resolution of contractual matters.
• Prepare and submit contract deliverables in accordance with established timelines.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contract management.

Requirements :

• Active Secret government security clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
• Proven experience in contract management with government contracts
• Experience using DoD, Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2) contractual software
• Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and other relevant procurement policies.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously

Desired :

Experie4nce with Part Research and Development Contracting

Experience with Non-FAR based instruments such as OTA, Grants, and Cooperative Agreements

Compensation :

Salary Range : $, - $, per year depending on experience

Location : Arlington, Virginia (1 day / week onsite)- near Ballston Metro stop
