With the direction of the Director of HRIS, the Senior HRIS Analyst will be responsible for configuring and maintaining our Workday payroll system to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees.
This role will serve as a strong consultative partner to the payroll department. You will be responsible for the design and development of standard operating procedures, guidelines and documentation to support change management.
You will maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS / payroll with a focus on product development, delivery, and support.
This role will provide direction, mentoring, and guidance to other team members in areas of Workday and HR Technology expertise.
You will implement, test, and deploy enhancements and new features within Workday. You will support production issues and manage cases through resolution.
You will create assigned reports and dashboards. You will be expected to review Workday Community to stay on top of product changes, as well as network with other Workday customers.
You will, at times, facilitate as well as attend all team meetings and collaborate with their cross-functional HRIS, Payroll and IT partners.
You will work on other projects as assigned.
Job Responsibilities :
Collaborate with payroll team and stakeholders to gather requirements for payroll processing, including tax calculations, deductions, earnings, general ledger, and compliance needs.
Configure the Workday payroll system according to organizational requirements, including setting up earnings and deduction codes, tax setups, payroll calendars, general ledger, and other system configurations.
Conduct thorough testing of configured payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, including running test payrolls, validating results, and troubleshooting issues.
Provide break / fix support to payroll department, with extra urgency during payroll processing windows. Document payroll configuration settings, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and maintain a record of system changes.
Provide training and support to payroll administrators and end-users on how to use the Workday payroll system effectively.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Stay up to date on Workday payroll updates and enhancements and assess their impact on our payroll process. Support new procedures / projects and improvements due to business changes, operational requirements, strategic initiatives, and legal requirements.
Create and maintain a variety of ongoing reports, as well as ad hoc reports and metrics in consultation with internal clients.
Modify business process definitions and related security permissions. Create and upload EIBs. Create and maintain Workday job aids and videos.
Manage and resolve issues using JIRA. Work with audit teams to ensure all key controls are met.
Required Work Experience :
3+ years as an analyst responsible for configuration, testing and support of Workday Payroll. Strong knowledge of Workday time tracking and absence modules.
Familiarity with building custom reports from payroll results.
Preferred Work Experience :
Supporting Workday payroll in a healthcare setting. Participated in at least one full life cycle Workday implementation at a large organization, preferably in a healthcare company.
Workday Pro Certified in US Payroll. Workday Pro Certified in Time Tracking or Absence a plus.

11) Experience using project management tools such as Atlassian JIRA, Confluence and Service Now or similar tool.
12) Expert in working with data and leveraging tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, Beyond Compare and Ultra Edit to perform data compare and validation activities.
