We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant to join our thriving Mortgage industry team. This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional who is looking to use their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers.

Responsibilities :

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to :

1. Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.

2. Analyzing financials to ensure they are accurate and comply with financial regulations and accepted accounting principles.

3. Handling A / R operations, including invoice processing, daily cash receipts, and collections.

4. Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.

5. Performing property accounting tasks, including depreciation, disposals, and asset acquisitions.

6. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.

7. Managing general ledger (GL) functions, including accruals and prepayments.

8. Ensuring all transactions are properly recorded in the ledger.

9. Assisting with annual audit preparations.

10. Identifying inefficiencies and improvement in the performance of financial and accounting processes.

Qualifications :

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.

2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

3. Proven experience with the following skillset : Reconcile, A / R, Property accounting, Financials, Entries, GL, Accruals, Ledger.

4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.

6. Experience with Yardi software

7. Experience with Real Estate highly prefered

8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
