Director of Caselaw Collection and Conversion
About the Role
The Director of Collection and Conversion is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end collection, conversion, and publishing processes.
The scope includes all cases, case law-related and agency materials. This role manages both Content Operations Managers and individual contributors responsible for these tasks.
Responsibilities
- Creating and executing the strategy and vision for the North American Collection and Conversion team
- Leading change management to help foster an innovative and metrics-driven environment, utilizing generative AI to help enhance workstreams
- Managing and tracking the overall collection and conversion pipeline to monitor progress towards achieving yearly publishing goals
- Managing all collection pipelines for smooth operation, identifying and resolving any pipeline breakdowns
- Working closely and collaborating with internal business partners (e.g., product, engineering) on collection and conversion workflows.
- Managing Lexis Webstars, resolving severity issues within prescribed turnaround times
- Identifying and resolve bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues across the entire case law workflow, implementing process improvements and remediation strategies.
- Managing court research, reviewing previous non-automated courts, contacting courts, and identifying new court opportunities, prioritizing automation where possible
Requirements
- Possess a Juris Doctor or Master's
- Have ability to effectively communicate, interact and report results regularly to senior management
- Demonstrate knowledge of customer expectations
- Be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a detail-oriented environment
- Possess advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Lexis Advance
- Have people management or leadership experience
