Job Description :
To builda variety of routine sheet metal parts and assemblies. Works fromblueprints work orders templates oral and written instructions tofabricate and assemble sheet metal parts where detailedinstructions are available but minor decisions and some judgment isrequired to meet specifications.
Assists with the development of shop aids jigs andfixtures in the assembly of experimental sheet metal structures.
Uses a variety of precisionmeasuring instruments such as calipers protractors micrometer andscale.
Operates powerequipment such as drill motor rivet gun saw hydraulic press handroll shear and power brake. Responsible only for own work.
