Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
- Trial Preparation
- Assist with the drafting, indexing, and reviewing of legal documents such as Pleadings and Motions
- Drafting complaints, discovery, and e-Filing lawsuits for personal injury clients.
- Scheduling and setting depositions, hearings, and mediation conferences.
- Issuing subpoenas to witnesses for depositions and trial appearances.
- Prepare and update case correspondence.
- Assists with insurance claim settlements / negotiation.
- Assist with mediation and depositions.
- Update the Trial Works case / client database.
- Assisting with discovery requests
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings.
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents.
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Record and store client information and medical records
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Efficient in Microsoft Office
- Florida Registered Paralegal (not required)
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
