JOB SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Engineer will work with the BI / Analytics Team to integrate information from multiple transactional systems to the EDW, subject area data marts and cubes to facilitate reporting and data analysis.

Provide our business partners with visibility into the data / information needed to make key business decisions. Responsible for the hands-on development and implementation of BI solutions.

The role entails business requirements analysis, design and development of the data warehouse as well as the user facing analysis and reporting solutions.

Conduct a mix of BI project and maintenance level work. This is key role to collaborate on solutions using Microsoft BI tools on a SQL Server platform.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Requirements analysis and solution design for reporting and data delivery to end users;
• Data analysis and mapping;
• ETL and reporting solution development;
• Adherence to IMG standards and development best practices;
• Review & revise queries for performance issues;
• Shared support responsibilities for the Production BI Reporting Environment;
• Represent the BI development team at change control meetings & ensure that all scheduled releases have gone through an adequate test process and deployment instructions are clear and accurate;
• Communicate regularly with team members to escalate issues, report status of requests, & identify opportunities for improvements;
• Help create ad-hoc queries and provide data as requested, with a goal of transitioning to self-serve;
• Assist the team with the development of a Data Dictionary;
• Work with business partners on data analytics to help identify key opportunities;
• Developing reporting and analysis solutions using MS tools such as SSRS, Power BI, and Excel;
• Use of ETL (extract, transform and load) design, development and support using SSIS;
• Design and development of building enterprise data and BI solutions with some understanding of dimensional data marts / star schema data modeling and design;
• Work with Data Quality and Data Governance
• Work with software source control tools and multiple environments such as Development, Test, and Production

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field and 2 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or related
