Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Trustpoint.One is assisting a national law firm in seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join their office in San Francisco on a direct hire basis.

The ideal candidate will have between two five years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities of the Commercial Litigation Paralegal include :

  • Prepare subpoenas and deposition notices;
  • Coordinate and handle filings in electronic and paper format, in state and federal courts;
  • Request records, medical records and authorizations;
  • Prepare cast of characters and chronology of events;
  • Prepare record and deposition summaries;
  • Draft form pleadings and form discovery;
  • Review court dockets for case team review and case information;
  • Prepare and organize exhibits for motions and / or depositions;
  • Create and maintain databases for case and document management;
  • Prepare spreadsheets and otherwise track discovery requests;
  • Organize and supervise document productions in conjunction with Practice Technology professionals and vendors;
  • Oversee logistical preparations related to depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations;
  • Prepare and organize trial notebooks and demonstrative exhibits;
  • Attend and assist at trial, arbitration, and mediation.

Qualifications of the Commercial Litigation Paralegal

  • Bachelor’s degree with two to five years of substantive commercial litigation experience within a law firm;
  • Experience with e-filings in state and federal courts and / or working with other legal professionals to get the filings prepared and e-filed;
  • Experience with review tools such as Relativity, TextMap, and other share filing related software;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel;
  • Outstanding organizational, administrative, and communication (oral and written) skills;
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
