2nd Shift Shipping Clerk

2nd Shift Warehouse - $19 / hr - Start ASAP!!!

Job Description

A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk / warehouse worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks, breaking down boxes, packaging items for shipment, and using order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from trucks
• Break down boxes and package items for shipment
• Use order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders
• Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed
• Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach material for the automotive industry
• Package items for shipment
• Manage shipping and receiving tasks

Essential Skills

• Experience with picking, packing, and packaging
• Proficiency with RF scanners and pallet jacks
• Ability to manage inventory and warehouse tasks
• Experience with shipping and receiving operations

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds
• Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladders (5-7 steps; occasionally 15 ft)
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Capability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat

Work Environment

The work environment is usually loud due to forklifts and other machinery running through the facility. The 2nd shift runs from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.

Employees are required to wear plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toed shoes.
