Job Summary :
Coordinatesdaily operations with leadership team to ensure implementation ofclinical objectives and quality patient care for assignedministries.
Job Responsibilities andRequirements :
PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES
- Assigns, directs, educates andmonitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.Contributes to performance evaluations ofstaff.
- Serves as a resource to thestaff.
- Manages patient flow within assignedarea.
- Provides support and coordination forpatient emergencies.
- Opens and leads incidentcommand for internal or external disasters until relieved byassigned administrativerepresentative.
- Evaluates the effectiveness ofpatient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patientoutcomes.
- Responds to complaints about patientcare and manages through establishedchannels.
- May provide input for hiring,training, directing, developing and evaluatingstaff.
- Works in a constant state of alertnessand safe manner.
- Performs other duties asassigned.
EDUCATION
Graduate of accredited school ofnursing or education equivalency forlicensing
EXPERIENCE
Twoyears' registered nurse experience, with demonstrated progressiveleadership responsibility
PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting / carrying andpushing / pulling objects weighing 0-25lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking,reaching and repetitive foot / leg and hand / armmovements.
- Frequent use of vision and depthperception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feetor more) and to identify and distinguishcolors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech toshare information through oral communication. Ability to hearalarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequentkeyboard use / data entry.
- Occasional bending,stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting andgripping.
- Occasional lifting / carrying andpushing / pulling objects weighing 25-50lbs.
- Rare climbing.
