Mechanical Engineer

Key Role :

Applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems.

Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.

Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications :

• 10+ years of experience with engineering
• 8+ years of experience with the design, prototyping, manufacturing, and testing of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, thermal, and control systems
• 3+ years of experience with people and project leadership
• Ability to use a broad range of engineering tools, including SolidWorks, Matlab, Python, MathCad, or LabView
• Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts outside of your expertise to provide solutions to complex engineering and technical problems
• Ability to support bid and proposal efforts by applying subject matter expertise to estimate levels of effort (LOE) for various disciplines required for a project
• Ability to manage project timelines and building project schedules and provide leadership across multiple engineering and technical disciplines
• Ability to generate written and oral presentations and conduct briefings to senior-level leadership
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
