Job Overview :
The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for overseeing the invoice and payment processes, ensuring payments are accurate and timely, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
This role demands a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication with both vendors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities :
The following duties are essential for the successful performance of this role :
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and data entry.
- Execute vendor payments in alignment with company policies.
- Manage and analyze cash flow projections.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements to confirm the accuracy of outstanding payments.
- Resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments.
- Collaborate closely with vendors to ensure timely receipt of vendor credits, including chargebacks, shelf-stock adjustments, returns, and other credits.
- Assist in the accuracy of the monthly close process for Accounts Payable.
- Focus on enhancing system efficiencies, improving processes, and implementing best practices.
Qualifications :
A combination of education, training, and experience that meets the requirements of this position will be considered.
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounts payable or claims accounting.
- College diploma or university degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting-related software.
- Accounts Payable experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable best practices.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships.
Salary Range : $60k - $70k
