Quality Improvement Coordinator, Perioperative Services

Responsible for leading and managing quality improvement initiatives impacting core clinical processes and critical patient care functions across all Outpatient Surgical Sites.

Responsible for developing, coordinating, leading, and analyzing clinical initiatives to drive optimal patient outcomes and improve the patient experience.

Acts as a role model and champion for a culture of safety. Works collaboratively with executive leadership, administrators, directors, managers, physicians and other interprofessional colleagues to identify and enhance strategic clinical issues which produce quantitative and qualitative results for both internal and external Medical Center customers.

  • Oversees and monitors the development and implementation of quality initiatives across Outpatient Surgical Sites.
  • Provides effective project management / leadership to ensure completion of Medical Center Quality and Performance Improvement to meet goals and objectives and regulatory standards set by TJC and AAAHC.
  • Clinical Expertise : Demonstrates clinical expertise in specific patient population(s) related to projects managed.
  • Technical Execution : Demonstrates technical execution in collection, verification, and analysis of data.
  • Leadership & Training / Development : Provides leadership and training / development to project team members.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills : Communicates effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel.
  • Willing to travel between locations, as part of the regular working day.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range : $86,049.60 $137,675.20 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Education : BSN required; MSN preferred.

Licensure : Current Virginia nursing licensure required.

Experience : At least 3 5 years of perioperative nursing experience with progressive quality improvement or leadership responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods and repetitive motion (computer work). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills;

Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
