Patient Relations Partner – Full-Time

The Patient Relations Partner will be responsible for patient complaint resolution, patient advocacy, service recovery, and quality improvement.

They will act as a liaison between patients, their families and health care service providers. This is an opportunity to serve as not only a professional advocate to patients, but also in a broader role that includes support and guidance to the patient and family.

1. Serve as a liaison between patients / families and Stamford Health, as an educator for Patient Rights, a mediator for conflict resolution, facilitator of patient satisfaction data, and investigator of potential risks.

2. Prevent complaints by collaborating with supervisors and managers who see a problem developing; offering suggestions to resolve potential complaints;

modifying practices that cause repeated complaints.

3. Document complaints by listening to patient and patient family complaints; documenting details; determining what resolution is sought.

4. Work collaboratively with Nurse Managers, Clinical Directors, and other departmental leaders, rounding on patients, identifying patient experience opportunities, focusing on patient concerns, suggestions and needs to enhance the overall patient experience.

5. Coordinate, compile, and analyze data to generate trend reports for various groups and individuals throughout the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in health care, business management, behavioral science or related field is required.
