Global Financial Firm located in Jersey City, NJ has an immediate contract for an experienced Front Office PM

6 Month Contract

Rate : $795 / daily on

Hybrid- 2-3 days onsite a week

Department Overview :

The primary function of the role is to coordinate IT projects as a Project Manager. IT teams are located in London, Paris, ISPL and New York.

Team in NY works on multiple projects including regulatory reporting (TRACE), mainly working on STAR application . STAR is a trade processing system responsible for the deal capture of Interest Rates Derivatives, Futures, Bonds, MBS and Secondary Loans, and the subsequent passing of the trades through Middle Office to Back Office, to risk and to reporting systems.

Software development is performed in London, Paris, Mumbai, Chennai and New York. The team consists of 25 software developers and 14 business analysts across all locations.

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience of working with Front Office. The person may also be required to act as both business analyst and project manager, working with business and IT stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Project manager responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering the project on time within budget and scope.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that tasks in the project are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the Finance sector.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Excellent Front Office facing experience.
  • Experience with bridging the gap between IT and Front Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong working experience on Clarity.
  • High level of motivation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work with other teams in remote locations and autonomously in New York.
