• Lead the technical approach of the new intranet : Providing leadership, strategy, critical thinking, design & development expertise and implementation best practices to guide the technical development of the new Associate Experience platform in M365.
• Propose & Utilize the best and right fit features and functionality of SharePoint & M365 to minimize custom and complex development.
• Manage the technical approach and tasks of the selected consulting partner to effectively design, develop and implement the solution.
• Present and justify the technical approach of the solution to other IT department leaders. Be fully aligned with the involved IT departments on the technical blueprint of the proposed solution and assist and engage these department specialists in building the necessary integrations.
• Be able to conduct and effectively communicate design / development and implementation assessment reviews with project leaders
• Possess the ability to document and effectively perform knowledge transfer to support team

The purpose of the Digital Workplace SharePoint Technical Architect is to primarily lead the technical aspect of the corporate intranet project migration to Microsoft 365 from an on-premise SharePoint 2013.

Working with the selected consulting partner, The candidate will ensure the technical decisions, development and implementation approach align with overall Client IT standards & best practices and work with other IT department leaders to innovate, architect and solve complex issues.

Additionally, the individual will need to possess deep knowledge of the business requirement and their implications to the solution so evolution and continuous enhancements are sustainable.

Strategic vision and thinking are essential for the success of the project.

This individual will also work closely with business teams and decision makers across the enterprise to identify, recommend, and implement leading technology solutions and / or services.

This includes defining and implementing enterprise IT policies, procedures, and best practices as it relates to the services and applications supported by the Digital Workplace Unit.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, traits, certifications, years of experience, to successfully perform job function

• 5-7+ years of technical architect / programmer level SharePoint Online, M365 architecture, Azure AD, Azure functions, Microsoft Power Platform, LDAP, Complex Enterprise integration.
• Strong experience architecting and building applications to be deployed within Microsoft M365 and SharePoint Online.
• Advanced level PNP framework / webparts, SPFx custom web parts, PowerShell, JSON, .NET, XML, JavaScript, CSS, SharePoint APIs.
• Architected, designed and implemented Associate Engagement platform from an intranet with a focus on digital transformation.
• Experience managing complex technical projects and leading resources to complete identified tasks on time.
• Strategic thinker is essential.
• Successful experience leading an external consulting partner technical effort.
• Provide architectural and technical guidance to consulting partner ranging from Design specifications to code level modality to achieve the best in class solution.
• Professional writing skills and communication in management level presentations
• Take ownership and exhibit leadership with minimal supervision while keeping all stakeholders updated with progress through effective communication skills.
• Experience with agile and waterfall project management principles.
• Ensuring conformance to agreed design standards, methods, and tools, including prototyping new tools and applications where appropriate.
• Strong understanding of Multi-Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), and Security and Compliance.
• Mentoring and coaching more junior staff within the team through both performance management and community-led collaboration.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
