Experienced Electrician

Founded in 1996, PRICE ELECTRIC, a full-service electrical contractor that employs 200 construction employees nationwide, is seeking an experienced Electrician for Industrial and Commercial contracts in Central Iowa.

Experienced Electricians plan, install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical components and systems, either personally or with teammates, in a safe, thorough and timely manner.

This position applies electrical technical training, several years of electrical construction experience, mechanical ability and strong communication and interaction skills to complete jobs, instruct and mentor apprentices and lead small crews.

To help the team meet high production and quality standards, Experienced Electricians u tilize lean construction processes and demonstrate : Good time management and organization,Consistently high reliability,Leadership to set, relay and meet team goals, andComprehension and adherence to construction drawings and National Electrical Code and local codes.

Physical demands include, but are not limited to, the ability to work 40 or more hours per week; frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.

• and occasional lifting of up to 80 lbs.; occasional lifting from floor to above shoulder; continuous standing, walking and / or climbing;
• regular squatting, kneeling and sitting; repetitive use of hands for frequent grasping, pushing and pulling and fine motor coordination;
• repetitive use of feet for operating equipment, conduit benders and vertical climbing; adequate balance for frequent climbing;

and adequate vision for blueprint reading and color coding to identify wire.Since the job requires travel to and from customer job sites where work is typically performed, a valid driver's license and good driving record are needed.

Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varied weather conditions. Specialized training and personal protective equipment is provided if working at heights, in confined spaces or when exposed to occasional dust, fumes, etc.
