The Lead Fireplace Installer will be responsible for the on-time installation of fireplaces. Accurately and carefully, load / unload & install products for customers in excellent condition.
Address all customers in a courteous, respectful manner at all times. Communicate via company cell phone; report any installation issues to Installation Manager & Site Supers.
Essential Functions
- Load and inspect all products to be installed for that day.
- Review all paperwork before leaving the warehouse to ensure you have all the correct information and materials needed for installs.
- Ensure absolute customer satisfaction in all forms of communication.
- Drive safely at all times when in a company vehicle. Follow all company policies about driver safety and distracted driving.
- Inspect Jobsite for safety and readiness.
- Review paperwork for job site readiness so that installation can be completed on first time.
- Safely bring all products necessary for installation into the area where work will be completed by utilizing all materials handling equipment needed.
- Follow all installation policies and procedures as outlined by Rio Grande Co. and the manufacturer installation manual.
- Instruct and train fireplace helper so they can be ready to become fireplace lead at some point if, and when needed.
- Complete all work for each job while still on site. Take appropriate photographs and complete all paperwork as outlined in standard work procedures.
- Communicate with job superintendent, Fireplace installation manager and sales representative if any issues occurred when fireplace was not completed.
- Once day’s work is completed, return to the warehouse.
- Turn in paperwork to install manager to review (along with photo card)
- NFI Certification is required.
- Factory Training is required.
- 100% complete on HearthED
- Competent in HHT products, Montigo Products, and a good knowledge of wood and gas fireplaces in general
Job Requirements
- Two five years of natural gas and electronic fireplace installation.
- Background in building / construction industry, preferred.
- Mechanically inclined with power and hand tools.
- Not afraid of heights, able to use ladder, 40 feet and higher.
- Ability to lift up to 125 pounds.
- Personable with good communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Clean driving record.
