Flextek Resources has partnered with a leading nationwide transportation company located in the Northeast Houston area that is currently looking to add a few Operations Managers to their team.
THIS WILL BE A NIGHTSHIFT ROLE. MUST BE OPEN TO ANY SHIFT.
These roles are open due to growth.
You will be managing a large team, somewhere around 100+ front line workers.
Must have STRONG leadership / management skills.
As an Operations Manager , you will be overseeing a strong team of individuals to perform tasks efficiently and to exceed customer satisfaction as well as all day-to-day operations.
Ensure that all operations are running smoothly and are meeting all deadlines. Be involved in some financial procedures, manage margins, cost, budgets, as well as labor planning.
This role is 100% on-site, direct hire, and must be flexible for schedule due to operational needs. This includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Working outside of an 8am-5pm schedule is required.
Core Responsibilities :
- Enforce company policies and procedures for all warehouse individuals
- Interview, hire, train, coach, and mentor new and existing employees
- Create and recommend strategic plans and reviews to meet operational needs
- Develop processes for receiving the product, utilizing equipment, managing inventory, and shipping products
- Determine the handling requirements to develop warehouse operations systems
- Ensure that safety standards and procedures are being followed and are in compliance
- Manage labor planning, tracking of metrics, KPI’s, and other reporting
Qualifications :
- 3 years of experience working in Operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to manage a team and members effectively
- Reporting, data entry and processing skills
- Able to accurately analyze and present information
