SUMMARY
Responsible for the working with various vendors to achieve the successful installation, operation, and maintenance of information systems on property, including computers, software, and audio-visual equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology (IT) department.
- Develops and implements strategic goals and objectives for the IT Department.
- Works with all departments to build, support, and update computer systems and software which align with property goals.
Collaborates closely with department managers and senior leadership to understand needs and address concerns.
Regularly scans and evaluates property systems to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities. Facilitates IT security audits and investigations.
Ensures necessary Cyber Security protocols are maintained and followed.
- Develops, implements, and maintains business continuity and disaster recovery protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Ensures proper licensing and adequate support for all system users.
- Creates and reviews department reports, addressing potential conflicts and / or misinformation.
- Ensures a maximum level of internal service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
- Approves purchase of systems-related equipment and supplies or provides a clear explanation of why the request cannot be approved.
- Develops and administers departmental operating budget and controls.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Must be able to work the required work schedule and flexible to change shifts as needed. This may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Works physically onsite to manage business and interact personally with team members, vendors, and guests.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study. Three to five years related experience within IT. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Casino industry experience highly preferred including experience with casino slot vendors and other related systems.
- Two to three years of progressive leadership experience within IT preferred.
- Experience installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in planning, delegation, time-management, and problem-solving required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for positive interaction with staff, guests, and vendors.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex data, including reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to effectively present information in a group setting.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate gaming license.
- Must have and maintain valid driver's license with a good driving record.
