What You Will Do :

Using AutoCAD Civil 3D (2020 or newer), you will assist with the preparation of construction plans; prepare 3D models of design components;

complete design calculations and cost estimates; and compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, letters, memos, specifications, and presentations for multiple public and private land development projects with direction and input from senior staff.

• You will collaborate with other groups / disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients.
• You may also occasionally perform construction observation duties and / or support other group divisions, such as Renewables and Municipal.
• As you advance in your career, you may also play the lead role in project design and coordination.
• Your experience level will determine the amount of independent judgment granted, the complexity of tasks performed, and direct supervision received.

What You Will Bring : The successful candidate will have :

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field from an accredited school and possess two or more years’ experience in land development and / or Renewable Energy.
• Ability to prepare, read and understand plan documents and have a functional understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software packages, including the ability to determine and formulate problems, input data, set-up and use models, perform calculations, and gather / interpret results.
• Work independently and communicate with colleagues and project managers in difference offices.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Our preferred candidate will :

• Obtain their Professional Engineer (PE) license within two years in their state of residence.
• Be an Advanced Civil 3D designer, utilizing alignments, profiles, assemblies, corridors, and feature lines.
• Demonstrate Technical Excellence through prior work examples, professional references, and / or the interview process.
• Be a self-starter with positive attitude, as well as a willingness to learn.
• Thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
