Job Summary

Perform the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment and systems, in support of the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program Philippines (MCPP-PHIL).

The MCPP-PHIL Engineering HVAC Mechanic will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Engineering Maintenance Supervisor.

Initial training for this position and onboarding will occur in Jacksonville, FL with follow-on USMC Contractor Replenishment Cell (CRC) training for ultimate placement in Subic Bay, Philippines.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute the performance of maintenance functions for MCPP-PHIL and MCPP-PHIL Organic equipment.
• Perform maintenance actions that follow the contract Statement of Work and adhere to Marine Corps policy and procedures.
• Repair, adjust, service, and store HVAC equipment and systems.
• Support equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, control of maintenance assets, and provide advice on HVAC systems maintenance.
• Maintain proficiency in all maintenance functions.
• Inventory repair parts and equipment and requisition replacement stock.
• Provide requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Comply with personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Comply with established safety regulations and procedures for handling and storing various equipment and materials.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate degree and / or coursework towards a BS degree in mechanical engineering or another related field.
• In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, professional certification, formalized training, or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
• Four years of progressive experience with specialized knowledge of maintenance and logistic support activities involving HVAC systems maintenance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess a valid state Motor Vehicle Drivers’ License.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
• Applicants must be able to pass an FBI Background investigation with no criminal, civil, or security violations.
• Must be able to obtain a work visa and an Alien Employment Permit for the Philippines.

Qualifications

• USMC MOS 1143 / 64.
• Understanding of Marine Corps policies, regulations, and orders.
• Industry Certification.
• Working knowledge of military storage procedures.
• Expert knowledge of general maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
