Summary : The IT Support Technician II will be responsible for answering incoming support calls and providing efficient, strong customer support.
The role also involves communicating directly with clients, investigating problems on their systems, and working closely with other members of the IT department.
The Support Technician II will have strong problem diagnosis and problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively under pressure, and be willing to learn and contribute to the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide telephone / verbal application support to resolve incidents.
- Maintain written communication (. log updates) to a professional and legible standard.
- Keep clients informed of the progress of outstanding logs.
- Monitor individual call stack and prioritize individual logs by severity and client.
- Provide personalized, high-quality service to clients.
- Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems utilizing hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
- Configure, install, update, troubleshoot, repair, and replace computer systems, terminals, peripheral equipment, and related hardware throughout the organization.
- Provide internal analysis and support to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
- Work hours will include nights and weekends.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities : None
Education and / or Experience
- High School Diploma
- 2 years’ IT help desk experience
- Experience with MAC OSX, and Windows 7 and 10, 11 Operating Systems
- Experience with Office 2010 2016, Office 365
- Experience configuring PC hardware
- Experience with Network Cabling & Troubleshooting.
- Teleconference experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Pixel POS (Point Of Sale Systems) a plus.
- A+ certification a plus.
Schedule :
Our technicians work on a rotating schedule with various shifts :
- Day shift : 9 AM - 6 PM EST
- Midday shift : 12 PM - 9 PM EST
- Early evening shift : 3 PM - 12 AM EST
- Night shift : 4 PM - 1 AM or 7 PM - 4 AM EST (Fridays and Saturdays).
While shifts change weekly, some weeks may have consistent shift schedules to ensure weekend coverage and shifts are set in advance.
Each workweek consists of five days with two days off (not always consecutive days off). Shift differential is offered.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
General office environment where you will walk, bend, and stand for periods of time.
