Summary :
Seeking an experienced Process Safety Engineer with a background in chemical engineering or chemistry to manage and lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and other safety initiatives in the API pharmaceuticals or chemical process industry.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in API pharmaceuticals or chemical process industry.
Experience in participating in or leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs).
Preferred Skills :
Familiarity with methodologies such as Hazards and Operability (HAZOP) studies or PSRA process.
Strong background in process safety and risk assessment.
Job Responsibilities :
Manage the site Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) schedule, ensuring adherence to site timelines.
Create and revise PHA documents for new and existing processes.
Ensure all necessary information (e.g., batch records, drawings, process safety data) is available prior to PHA.
Lead PHAs on new and existing processes using various methodologies.
Manage and track PHA action plans, ensuring timely implementation.
Assist in developing and conducting audits of Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
Aid in developing the site's process safety program as needed.
Provide mentoring and training for site personnel in process safety and risk assessment.
Participate in implementing new products and processes for manufacturability, including tech transfer.
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for relevant incidents and near misses.
Maintain safety awareness and promote safe work practices, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
Pay : 23-31
Pay Details : $23.00 to $31.00 per hour
