SKILLS &QUALITIES

  • Minimum 5years help desk / Systems Administrationexperience
  • Must be an excellent verbal andwritten communicator
  • Must be a selfstarterhighly motivated and independentworker
  • Comfortable in a fastpaced environmentserving multiple clients each day
  • WindowsServeradministration
  • Basic LANconfiguration
  • VMware or equivalentvirtualizationexperience
  • Exchangeexperience

EXPERIENCE

Experiencewith local government public safety school districts or otherpublic entitieshelpful

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initialresponsibility will be for desktop support andadministration
  • Local area network and fileserver support for a variety of public and private sectorclients
  • Support multiple clients on a regularbasis
  • Administer changes and adjustments tosystems as needed
  • Recommend the purchase of newequipment
  • Assess system performance andrecommend improvements
  • Assist with developingimplementing and enforcing policies andprocedures
  • Work with vendor representatives toidentify and correct causes of hardware and software malfunctionsand to perform enhancements
  • Respond to andresolve difficult inquiries andcomplaints
  • Provide emergency response to reducedowntime correct errors monitor vendor activity diagnose systemfailures and conduct offhours scheduled and as neededmaintenance
  • Assist in developing planningimplementing and administering goals objectives policies andprocedures
