The Role
We are seeking a talented individual to serve as a Vice President and Legal Associate to assist in Aquarian's investment activity and principal transactions.
The role includes daily involvement with both internal and external parties to ensure that Aquarian's risks and liabilities are identified and addressed effectively.
The Vice President and Legal Associate will report directly to the General Counsel.
This position is in New York City.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for advising across the full transactional life cycle, including due diligence, structuring, drafting, negotiating, closing, and administering investments in real estate, corporate loans, structured products, venture capital, and equity investments.
- Working with outside counsel to understand and close complex financing and other transactions.
- Assisting in M&A activity, including due diligence, drafting LOIs, bid submissions, negotiating acquisition documents, and post-closing integration.
- Review and analysis of commercial and other contracts.
Experience and Skills :
- Minimum of 2-5 years of transactional finance experience since admission to the bar in private practice or with another investment firm.
- Experience with M&A, venture capital, and / or joint venture transactions.
- Experience with funds and investment management, including regulatory and structuring.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to understand and distill complex transactions into digestible components.
