As a Product Manager at AEM, Inc., you will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of our specialized electronic components product lines, including high-reliability circuit protection, power conditioning, and radio frequency components.

This role demands a deep understanding of electronic components, their applications, and the industries we serve particularly Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, and Electric Vehicles.

You will be the key interface between the market and our internal teams, ensuring that customer needs and market trends are translated into precise product requirements.

Your expertise will drive the product roadmap, ensure successful product launches, and maximize the commercial success of AEM’s product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy : Lead the development and execution of product strategies for AEM’s electronic components. Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the electronic components industry.

Define product positioning and value propositions that resonate with our target markets.

Product Development : Translate customer needs and market requirements into detailed product specifications specific to electronic components.

Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D teams to ensure product development aligns with market demands and technical standards.

Lifecycle Management : Oversee the entire lifecycle of electronic components from concept to end-of-life, including monitoring product performance and implementing improvements based on analytics and customer feedback.

Plan and manage product phase-outs and transitions to minimize disruptions to the market.

Pricing Optimization : Develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and market competitiveness of AEM’s products and solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer expectations.

Market and Customer Analysis : Conduct targeted research to gather insights into the needs of industries relying on high-reliability components, such as Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, and Electric Vehicles.

Engage with key customers to understand their technical requirements and gather feedback for continuous product improvement.

Stakeholder Communication : Communicate the product vision, strategy, and performance to stakeholders, including executives, cross-functional teams, and key customers within the electronic components industry.

Cross-functional collaboration : Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches and effective go-to-market strategies.

Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure product availability, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

Product Launches : Plan and execute product launches tailored to the electronic components market, including developing launch plans, training sales teams, and creating technical marketing collateral.

Monitor launch success and adjust strategies as needed.

Performance Tracking : Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the success of AEM’s products and solutions.

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

Innovation and Improvement : Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies within the electronic components space.

Continuously seek out opportunities for product innovation and improvement.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management within the electronic components industry, with a proven track record of managing product lifecycles and driving growth.

Experience in market analysis, strategic planning, and working with cross-functional teams in the development and launch of electronic components.

Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical data to senior management and technical teams.

Travel

This position requires travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events up to 50% of the time.
