GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

A Manager of Project Finance & Corporate Development position is available within our Corporate Headquarters located in North Kansas City, MO.

PF&D has a broad mandate that includes (but not limited to) serving as the center of excellence for financial and strategic matters related to Public Private Partnerships ( P3's ), private development projects, corporate strategy & acquisitions

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Financial and economic analysis of potential projects, new markets, new technologies, potential partners, competitors, and M&A targets to evaluate profitability, risk, and other factors.
  • Recommends Go / No-Go decisions for investments in partnerships or projects. Leads analysis and prepares presentations to management and investment committees.
  • Project development activities including financial modeling, commercial structuring and negotiation, and project financing.
  • Support project bids and project financing for public-private partnership infrastructure projects, including preparing qualifications and proposals, reviewing commercial agreements, and analyzing potential financing, development, and partnership structures.
  • Taking lead from company management and business development professionals, contributes to business development strategy.

Where appropriate, support Garney's corporate leadership in BD opportunities, especially when relevant for P3.

Maintain industry presence at P3 conferences and cultivate relationships with public sector, advisors

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, strong work ethic and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • MBA and / or other advanced degree
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in acquisitions, infrastructure investing, P3 financing or development.
  • Passion and commitment to infrastructure development
  • Prior business development and proposal development experience
  • Previous experience working with Private Equity or Infrastructure funds
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure investing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy and respect for others, engaging in active listening, and building effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing up & down
  • Analyzing acquisition opportunities and being part of the team making recommendations to senior management.
