This is a direct-hire (non-temporary) position for our client. What we're looking for : The Intake Specialist works full-time in a person-centered and team-oriented setting to complete detailed, comprehensive intake assessments and treatment plans for mental health and substance use services ensuring the person served is successfully oriented to the organization's programs and services.
The Intake Specialist efficiently manages the caseload, consistently meets required timeframes and ensures the highest quality of service delivery and member satisfaction.
Compensation Range : This position has an annual salary range of $50,000-$60,000 and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as licensure, skills and experience.
Qualifications : Education : Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited school required Experience : At least one (1) years of clinical experience working with individuals with mental illnesses, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders and / or developmental disabilities Non-profit experience is preferred Credentials : Full License Master Social Workers (LMSW) or Full Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) CADC or CAADC (development plans welcomed) A valid Michigan Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

screening and completes a thorough assessment of the individual’s strengths, needs, abilities and preferences. Ensure the coordination and provision of intake functions, initial assessments, provision of emergency needs, required authorizations and releases, ORR, Grievance and Appeal and HIPPA notifications.
Complete required documentation related to the Intake and Eligibility Process (e.g., Biopsychosocial, Consent to Treat, Release of Information), and other requested reports and documentation.
Review written case records and seeks out relevant professional support to assure a thorough assessment of the individual’s strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
Complete the ASAM Continuum for individuals referred for SUD services. Welcome and orient persons served to services and benefits available within the agency, as well as within the provider network.
Respect the dignity, rights, self-determination, and confidentiality of persons served. Provide information about how to access behavioral health, substance use, primary health, and other community services.
Provide information about how to access the various rights processes. Help persons served with problems and inquiries regarding eligible benefits.
Assist persons served with filing a local complaint and / or grievance. Maintain weekly productivity expectations as determined by supervisor.
Maintain clinical charts in an accurate and timely manner. Will posses excellent time-management and organization. Will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
