About Us :
Gpac is working with a long-standing earth moving heavy equipment company in the Upper Midwest looking for a Service Manager! This company prides itself on its long-standing business history, family owned and operated.
They resolve to get your problem solved quickly and correctly, every time. This Service Manager will oversee 5 techs, a service writer, and will be able to motivate and lead the group.
Someone who has great customer service and mechanical skills would be valuable to this company.
Heavy Equipment Service Manager Job Duties :
- Develops, communicates, enforces, and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
- Manages department goals and budgets
- Develops business with existing and new customers through promotional programs, customer visits, and networking
- Submits all service warranty paperwork and claims on time
- Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge
Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge :
- Earth moving equipment experience is prefered, BOBCAT experience is required
- Technical school certificate or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a service department working as a technician
- Previous management or shop foreman experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to lead and manage employees
- Solid parts and machinery knowledge
- Excellent customer service and selling skills
Heavy Equipment Service Manager Physical Requirements of this position :
- Ability to lift, manipulate, and move items weighing upwards of 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Exposure to dust, fumes, gases and chemicals
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts
- Requires good manual dexterity
