Key responsibilities and requirements for this position :
Responsibilities :
- Perform Mammography Exams : Conduct specialized X-ray exams on breasts, including screenings and diagnostic studies.
- Patient Care : Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Image Quality : Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, such as density, contrast, and definition.
- Equipment Maintenance : Clean and adjust mammography equipment as needed, and report any malfunctions.
- Record Keeping : Create and maintain patient records and files according to required procedures.
- Quality Control : Perform daily, weekly, and monthly quality control tests to ensure equipment and image quality.
Requirements :
- Education : An associate degree or completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
- Certification : Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Mammography.
- Experience : Experience requirements may vary, but certification and / or licensing in the specialty is essential.
- Skills : Knowledge of anatomy, patient positioning, and proper radiographic exposure factors. Ability to obtain high-quality images and perform advanced procedures like stereotactic biopsies
