The Systems Analyst is responsible for coordinating the design and / or modification of computer system process activities.
This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency / institution policy.
The Systems Analyst will collaborate with end-users, functional experts and technical resources to present solutions, ideas and recommendations that serve to reduce friction in processes and enhance the user experience.
This individual must have good technical and analytical skills with hands-on software development, Workday (Enterprise Resource Planning - ERP) and / or database administration experience.
The position requires someone with collaboration and open communication skills along with a positive outlook and excellent project management skills.
This person will function as an advocate for the user community needs and work to enhance their understanding of the ERP system.
This is 100% on Campus Position
Essential Duties
- Work with technical and functional resources to configure complex ERP business processes which include supporting configurations and troubleshooting in areas of Student Services, Human Resources, Finance and other areas as needed.
- Meets with end-users to appraise feasibility of processes recommended to address structured program standards, existing programs and user needs.
- Coordinates the development and modification of computer job specifications for system users needed to implement new processes.
- Analyzes structure requirements and procedures used in systems development, time requirements, validity of results and resource allocation for methods used.
- Evaluates written agreements and status reports concerning process development for users.
- Assures completion of deadlines concerning conversion tasks and methods for implementation of processes.
- Evaluates systems performance, outcomes and revisions with end-users.
- Performs systems maintenance activities through error reports, user modifications requests and systems problems.
- Coordinates software development requests and assists in day-to-day production and operational duties as needed.
- Complete appropriate software testing for test and production systems along with system training for end-users and systems analyst.
- Maintains a status list for all projects along with insuring deadlines are met and expectations exceeded. This includes providing a weekly status project summary to IT leadership.
- Proactively avoids customer problems / conflicts which eliminates intra-departmental conflicts and dilemmas.
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Rate of Pay $48,671 annualized

- Knowledge of computer system hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer user requirements.
- Knowledge of system design procedures.
- Knowledge of the application of systems analysis and software programming in automation of information systems.
- Knowledge on how to create system and end-user reports and document various procedures.
- Ability to review results, determine the source of problems / errors and devise corrective actions.
- Ability to analyze and modify existing computer systems.
- Ability to discern necessary support actions / input and to write detailed actions and procedures for non-technical personnel.
- Ability to understand relevant detail from oral information and explain technical terms and information.
- Ability to determine costs and resource requirements of projects.
- Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of subordinates as needed.
