JOB DETAILS
Pay Range starts $40-$50 per hour
1st Shift : 7 : 00am to 3 : 30pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Industrial Maintenance Technician IV will perform advanced maintenance and repair tasks for manufacturing equipment and machinery on the first shift.
This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
The technician will work independently and as part of a team to maintain and enhance production efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities include preventive and predictive maintenance, emergency repairs, and collaborating with other departments to improve processes and equipment reliability.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot automated production systems
- Develop and implement modifications to automated systems
- Conduct tests to evaluate performance of automated systems
- Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
- Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
- Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
- Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
- Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
- Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
- Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
- Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
- Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
- Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
- Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
- Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
- Train all levels of technicians in more complex tasks and skills
- Responsible for direct reports activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associates degree in related field, or equivalent relative experience
- 7-10 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate and maintain automated machines and systems
- Knowledge of programming languages and software applications related to automation
- Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
- Able to strictly adhere to safety policies / procedures and be committed to customer quality.
- Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and CMMS systems
- Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
- Ability to train all levels of Technicians
- Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
- Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
- Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast-paced environment
- Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment
