Play a critical role in carrying out risk assessment analysis and determining loss prevention opportunities for HSB customers.
Perform equipment breakdown and business interruption risk assessments which are critical in determining HSB’s underwriting approach.
Develop broad occupancy skillset through research and training, and by working with Senior Loss Control Consultants to continuously enhance capabilities.
Utilize technical knowledge base to create expansive and qualitative reports. Maintain survey information within the survey database and manages the front-end process to include call preparation and data gathering.
Will be cross trained in various areas to assist as needed during peak periods. Utilize virtual loss control tools to conduct inspections with ability to create and develop detailed reports describing findings.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required
- 1+ years’ experience making outbound calls
- Knowledge or experience including but not limited to Production Equipment, Maintenance, Facilities, Engineering, or Jurisdictional Object Inspections
- Technical aptitude and understanding of facility production, processes, workflows, and manufacturing
- Industry related experience and knowledge of Boiler & Machinery and Property knowledge is a plus
Knowledge and Skills
- General knowledge of current manufacturing practices
- Financial acumen and understanding of loss prevention cost benefit
- Ability to develop relationships and rapport with customers to gather necessary data
- Ability to proactively establish all contacts needed to push survey to completion
- Insurance and general business knowledge
- Knowledge of HSB information systems is desired
- Word processing, spreadsheets and database software skills
- Typing skills
- Verbal communication skills
