Duties :
- Prosecute patent applications in video processing, video codecs, virtual / augmented reality, and AI.
- Manage patent portfolios and provide strategic guidance on portfolio development and management.
- Conduct patent analysis and opinions of counsel.
- Assist with inter partes reviews (IPRs) and other post-grant proceedings.
- Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and staff to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle situations with discretion.
- Analyze issues, make decisions, and initiate actions / solutions as needed.
- Adapt to evolving firm needs and embrace new skills and best practices.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum of 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house.
- Strong knowledge and experience in video processing and video codecs.
- Familiarity with video coding standards.
- Experience in virtual / augmented reality and AI is preferred.
- Graduate-level experience or an advanced technical degree is a plus.
- Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
