Research Laboratory Technician I-Badylak Lab
Job Summary
Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.
Essential Functions
The ideal candidate must be organized and able to work independently as well as able to troubleshoot a variety of laboratory issues including techniques and equipment.
Experience in cell culturing and basic cell and molecular biology techniques is preferred. Good organization and prioritization skills are required, as well as flexibility to adjust to work schedule as studies require attention to detail.
The members of the team are highly collaborative and interactive and the candidate must have strong communication skills.
The incumbent must be able to accurately record and coordinate data collection and analysis, and manage interaction with several investigators in a professional manner.
Physical Effort
Mostly sedentary. May require lifting up to 25 lbs.
