Summary :
This individual will have a wide array of HR related responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on recruiting. This individual would report on-site to the Rockland County, NY headquarters.

Key Responsibilities :
Recruitment, candidate selection, and the onboarding process
Managing a company’s candidate evaluation process
Ensuring that the company’s procedures comply with employment regulations
Monitoring various aspects of employee performance, such as attendance and sick leave
Designing and implementing training programs based on assessed needs
Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances
Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits
Maintaining employee benefits programs including annual health insurance renewals, competitive leveling and employee communication
Manage HR employees
Manage Staffing Agency / Recruiter relationships
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Prepare FMLA paperwork as needed
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Maintain organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection;
conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes
Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely
Qualifications :
3-7+ years in Human Resources
Human Resources certification preferred
Proven ability to recruit successfully using all major recruiting platforms LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff
A solid understanding of the key principles of employment law
The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts
Solid ethics and morals and sound judgment
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook / Word / Excel)
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor
Possess strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Must be a team player

The salary range for this position, based in Valley Cottage, NY, is $150,000 to $200,000 per year. The final salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
