Spherion, in partnership with our client in Duluth, MN, is searching for a Production Worker / Mix Room associate. This role serves as the Primary Operator in the mix room department, cross-trains, and performs other duties as assigned.
Work Hours : 8 : 00AM- 4 : 00pm, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and mix emulsions / chemicals using tanks, agitation, and filtering equipment.
- Clean equipment after use.
- Maintain raw material inventory.
- Complete documentation of mixes.
- Work varying hours as needed.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Pass a job-related math skills assessment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications :
- Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and solve problems with concrete variables.
- High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months related experience / training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands :
- Standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing.
- Regularly lift / move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required.
Work Environment :
- Near moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes / airborne particles.
- Occasionally exposed to chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
- Loud noise level.
