Serves as administrator for several critical human resources functions, including benefits, wellness, health and safety, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, and payroll backup and manages performance management procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of health and welfare plans including new hires, qualifying events, reconciliations, and annual open enrollments.
- Work with HR Director to develop employee metrics to assess benefit satisfaction and contribute to plan designs.
- Assist with the administration of the company's 401k plan.
- Develop and champion wellness initiatives to promote a healthy and positive work environment.
- Provide excellent internal customer service and support for employees, remaining approachable but objective and instilling confidence in employees.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues.
- Manage leave of absences, FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disability, ADA, and worker's compensation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to organize events, workshops, and activities that support our bWell program.
- Manage the performance management cycle, including launching goal setting, tracking, and facilitating.
- Collaborate with the HR team to enhance the employee life cycle experience.
- Support organizational development initiatives including career pathing and mentoring programs.
- Work with HR Director on onboarding initiatives and providing feedback to managers.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and maintain accurate employee records.
- Facilitate and communicate organizational policies and programs and assist with policy development.
- Serve as backup for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages.
- Proactively foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field, and 4 years of progressive experience, with significant experience in benefits management OR 6 years of experience in progressive HR experience, with a focus in benefits management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
- Aptitude for problem-solving
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary
- Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
- Read and write Spanish is a plus
