Job Description
The Internal Auditor will assist the Internal Audit Department with planning and executing critical financial, operational and compliance audits of all Company locations and processes.
The Internal Auditor will perform projects and activities within the areas of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, business process design reviews, compliance testing, data analysis and other specialized projects.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the planning, execution, and wrap up of financial, operational and compliance audits of Company locations and processes.
This includes audits of complex or unfamiliar business processes and identifying process related issues and control improvements (beyond policy noncompliance).
Communicate audit results (both verbally and written) in a clear and concise manner to all stakeholders and agree upon value added action plans to address issues.
Prepare well written audit reports on internal control deficiencies and action plans.
- Assist the Company with its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements by testing internal controls over financial reporting on a global basis, completing process memos and / or flow charts.
- Display strong project management skills including the ability to multi-task, maintain well organized work papers, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience in Internal / External audit, SOX control testing or accounting preferred
- Experience working with SAP - preferred
- Responsible and self-motivated with strong work ethic
- Excellent problem solving, research and analytical skills
- Effective communication and organization skills
- Foreign language proficiency (Spanish, German, French, Mandarin) is a plus
- Ability to travel 10%
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA or CIA candidate preferred
