Summary : The primary duties of the position include assisting with projects and tasks that will assist in delivering technology solutions that meet business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include but are not limited to the following responsibilities.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Send Corporate IT communications to internal employees.
Complete PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software packages.
Assign users and computers to proper business groups in Active Directory.
Perform workstation hardware and software upgrades.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, and software issues reported to the IT helpdesk while documenting escalation and resolution.
Coordinate with authorized vendor for PC hardware repair.
Monitor and remove non-authorized or not purchased software.
Monitor and perform backup and restore of files as needed.
Ability to learn and work on VOIP phone system.
Maintain and update IT documentation as needed.
Train employees to use software and hardware and provide technical support when needed.
Proactively support Corporate IT and customer support changes and initiatives.
Test phases of changing hardware and software standards.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Education and Experience Requirements : Some education beyond high school and / or related experience preferred but not required.
Experience with IT in a business setting.
Project management, distribution, or light manufacturing are a plus.
Working knowledge of IT hardware and applications including but not limited to : Windows Server OS, Microsoft Windows OS, MS Office Suite, Asset management, Microsoft Active Directory, SharePoint, VoIP phone systems, Endpoint security & protection, Basic Networking skills, PC hardware, printers, and other networked equipment.
Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work and consult effectively with employees at all levels.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of the technology tools required within assigned responsibilities.
Both written and verbal English language abilities are required with good vision to read and understand technical manuals and equipment diagrams.
Ability to solve complex operating problems applying both standard applications and nonstandard creative solutions.
Physical, mental and environmental requirements : Must be able to perform light work activities including sitting for extended periods of time, reaching and extending hands or arms in any direction, and grasping and holding office documents and materials.
Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers as required for daily use of a calculator and computer keyboard.
Position requires lifting to 50 pounds and regular walking, standing, grasping, reaching, climbing, crawling, pulling and pushing.
Work is usually done inside an office atmosphere free from exposure to adverse environmental and weather conditions.
This position is in-person, located in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Relocation is not available.
