We are currently collaborating with a distinguished private equity firm seeking to add a Trading Application Support Engineer.
This role involves providing essential technical support to the trading desk and back-office operations, with a focus on bond and loan trading activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely day-to-day support for the trading platform and Business-to-Business integrations.
- Work with business users (Traders, PMs, Operations, Analysts, Finance / Compliance professionals, etc.) and perform requirements analysis, application design, and implementation.
- Ensure a high standard of SDLC with a focus on automated testing / regression.
- Create and maintain professional-level internal knowledge base.
- Provide training to business users and new joiners.
- Develop and maintain compliance tests.
- Align and add to the culture and overall vision / mission of the team.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years or the equivalent of working in the financial industry with a deep understanding or strong potential to pick up financial securities, especially bonds and loans.
- Prior experience with Everest is strongly desired but not a hard requirement.
- Strong track record of hands-on SQL Server T-SQL programming experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; detail-oriented.
- Strong cultural fit teamwork, proactive / self-starter, results-oriented, and integrity.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have an Own it! mindset.
- Prior experience with one or more OO programming languages desired (Python preferred).
- Experience working with Microsoft SSIS and SSRS.
- Experience with XML / XPath / XSLT.
- Experience with a Trading system. Like Blackrock Aladdin, Charles River.
- Experience with portfolio accounting systems like Geneva
- Active Batch, Control-M, Autosys scheduling
