We are actively searching for our newly created Corporate Financial Accounting Manager to be located at our Divisional Office in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area.
You will report directly to the Divisional Controller, with a line to Executive Leadership, being hands-on with all of the day-to-day financial accounting and analysis functions.
You will also oversee a couple staff level folks. Excellent Career Growth Opportunity.

Corporate Financial Accounting Manager Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries and accruals.
- Record fixed assets and maintain related depreciation / amortization schedules.
- Work proactively and cooperatively with other team members and members of management.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy by monthly account reviews / reconciliation.
- Ensure timeliness of the month-end close process and completeness and accuracy of accounting records in accordance with US GAAP.
- Research, prepare, and perform audit requests for internal and external auditors.
- Monitor internal control procedures.
- Prepare audit selections and workpapers for auditor review.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information / operational analysis using various reporting tools.
- Guide clerical staff in Accounts Receivable by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Manage daily activities of Accounts Payable staff, including weekly vendor payments.
- Other duties as assigned by the Division Controller.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This Position Carries Out Supervisory Responsibilities In accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Corporate Financial Accounting Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Financial analysis skills and working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger & reconciling GL to sub-ledgers.
- Exposure and proficiency with high-level ERP systems (Infor, SAP, Oracle) knowledge of QuickBooks desktop.
- Superior analytical and modeling skills including advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports.
- Demonstrates full understanding of all month-end processes and calculation files and underlying accounting concepts.
- Be a proactive problem solver, arriving at creative and effective recommendations for improvements and enhancements in financial and non-financial operations.
