What You'll Do

The Inventory Specialist is tasked with supporting the tent division’s internal systems to ensure that all necessary product is in place to activate successful the planning and installation of all tented projects across all locations.

This includes but is not limited to the management of the internal inventory system (Point of Rental), working with operations to ensure that inventory counts are properly represented in the inventory system, overcoming overbooking issues, making recommendations for purchasing, activating subrentals when needed, understanding product ROI, maintaining pricing guides based on market changes.

This person is also tasked with supporting the logistical requirements related to special projects and the purchase and movement of project-specific inventory.

Maintaining accurate inventory systems and an understanding of the inventory process is critical to the teams ability to plan and sell the right product on projects maximizing utilization.

The Inventory Specialist should also have a strong focus on working to continuously improve the accuracy of the collected information required by the Sales Team and ensure the successful execution of tented projects.

In order to successfully operate, the position requires that a full workweek is maintained inside the office with occasional weekend work as needed with flexible hours and ability to travel with minimal limitations.

This is a regular, full-time position that reports to the VP of Sales Tent Division and is primarily located in Woburn, MA , though travel to Peak’s other locations may be required as necessary.

The Day-to-Day

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the tenting process and the measures necessary for executing a tented event
  • Efficient monitoring of confirmed projects in Company’s rental software for Tent Kit accuracy and assessing the overbooking of equipment to ensure the right product is sold on projects
  • Communicates inventory challenges to the VP of Sales
  • Maintain system for measuring product ROI
  • Maintain system for measuring product utilization
  • Understand and maintain an organized process to collect all pertinent data for all projects
  • Organize project-related purchases and sub rentals ensuring alignment with company goals and assist in logistics needed for successful site delivery
  • Organize tent related material
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong customer service focus
  • Maintain professional standards of integrity and honesty in representing the company
  • Maintain the quality service standards of the Company
  • Understands and communicates purchasing timelines and requirements and sees associated processes through completion
  • Maintains and open and collaborative relationship with the General Equipment Team as needed
  • Communicates best practices across all tenting locations
  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required company specifications at the time of order and confirms such at time of receipt, prior to goods being added to inventory
  • Works with Tent Operations to ensure the proper allocation of inventory at all locations and oversees the transfer of items as needed while continually working to improve and maintain par levels
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and inventory software (preferably POR)
  • Experience in related field preferred
