JobSummary :
The Director of Womens Servicesdirects activities and resources to achieve departmental andorganizational objectives for the Womens Services department at a107bed hospital.
This leader will oversee patient care deliverystaffing budgeting and quality control while fostering professionalgrowth and evidencebased practices.
Key Duties& Responsibilities :
- Develop andimplement departmental goals plans and standards
- Direct and evaluate departmental operations includingpatient care delivery and service levels
- Planand monitor staffing activities including hiring evaluating anddisciplinary actions
- Prepare monitor andevaluate departmental budgets
- Coordinate anddirect internal / external audits
- Create anenvironment that encourages professional growth
- Integrate evidencebased practices into operations andclinical protocols
- Act as a resource for staffregarding obstetrical and neonate concerns
Qualifications : I.Education :
I.Education :
- AssociatesDegree required
- Bachelors Degreepreferred
II.Experience :
- Priorexperience in womens health / obstetrics nursingleadership
- Experience with budgeting and staffmanagement
III.License(s) / Certification(s) :
- Current RegisteredNurse license for Kentucky required
- AWHONNCertification required
- Basic Life Support(BLS) certification required
- NeonatalResuscitation Provider (NRP) certificationrequired
Knowledge Skills &Abilities :
- Critical thinking skillsand decisive judgment
- Ability to work withminimal supervision
- Strong leadership andinterpersonal communication skills
- Proficiencyin obstetrical and neonatal care practices
- Budget management experience
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and qualitystandards
