Overview

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of facility preparations or facility modifications to support new launches and large-scale updates to current facilities by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Development and ongoing updates to company facility standards and specifications, including supporting infrastructure
  • Oversee all aspects of facility related projects, including budget, schedule, quality control, and safety
  • Develop project plans, including schedules, budgets, and scope of work
  • Lead supplier and contractor sourcing for facility related projects
  • Manage project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including internal management, facility owners, architects, engineers, and government officials
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, building codes and permits
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget
  • Review project documentation, including contracts, plans, and specifications, to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Manage change orders and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers as needed
  • Maintain a safe and organized work site
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g. Engineering, Operations, HR, Safety, Quality, etc.) in the execution of project work to maximize project success
  • Develops relationship with local contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost competitive support for all facilities
  • Supports budgeting activities for all large facility related projects.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Deep understanding of construction industry best practices, including safety protocols and building codes
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including scheduling and budgeting software
  • Organizes and Executes with Accuracy : Leverages a systematic, efficient and organized approach while ensuring quality and accuracy of results.
  • Thinks Critically and Resolves Problems : Responds to emerging problems in an accurate and timely manner. Where possible, leverages available resources to address situations before they occur.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to regularly lift and / or move up to 15 pounds
